Jane is a fused glass artist who originally trained as a ceramicist. She is a member of Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum and The Contemporary Glass Society. Having worked as a Bookshop and Gallery Assistant at Zamana Gallery, London, she completed a ceramics degree in Cardiff in 1996 and with a group of artists launched 'Fireworks Studios'. Her work reflects memories and travels within landscape. Certain objects, textures and discovered fragments have a symbolic significance and act as markers for memory. Her work is in private collections in Europe, New Zealand, Greece, Japan and the U.S.A.

After completing courses in glass fusing in Cardiff, including an advanced fusing course with Anna Rosenthal & Detlef Tanz in Swansea she became excited and inspired by the possibilities of working with glass. She moved to Hertfordshire, bought a kiln and this has now led to a collaboration with her sister Katharine (a painter) to create colourful fused glass artworks. Jane also makes personal glass work with inclusions of copper foils and wires exploring meditation and the natural world.
